Synergy

Hi Laura,
In the last few days I have finished reading a fascinating book about netsuki, the tiny carved figures used to hold male kimono together. Lots of animals and birds, needless to say, and I have been drawing some of them. The results have the same feel to your drawings.....don't you think? I'd love to include them in my work, there are others, for instance the horse above.

  1. Hi Marie,

Love the drawings! Are they charcoal? They'd work brilliantly with the monoprint technique on fabric.

  6. Put your specs on Hilary, it's Amanda with the puppy not Annabel! Well unless there's been a new addition to the Rainbow family we don't know about?!!

  7. Um, not that I know about. But then, Life, well, it's all some strange exotic dream really...and G has been eyeing up the Bonios recently. Mind you, that could just be because I'm a lousy cook and he's hungry.

  8. Oh dear - better get some food I think - try and rev up the old brain. You wait Laura - you will get older and confused soon enough - then you will realise that Annabel and Amanda are very easily muddled up .... especially when joined with the magic exciting word 'puppy' x

  9. Are but remember that puppies grow up and do stupid things like walking along looking up at squirrels and fall head over heals and bust their cruciate ligament, three days later and we'er still sleeping on the lounge floor to make sure he doesn't hurt himself after a major operation and we are four hundred pounds lighter! 10. Ouch Marie! Hope all goes well and he's up and about again soon.

Lol Hilary!! I have come to the conclusion that Laura is quite a bit older than she actually looks and is in fact a time traveller. It's the only way I think she manages to do as much as she does in the same 24 hours the rest of us have.

  11. OH poor you Marie - but a dog deserves no less, does it? You know he would do it for you without a backward thought. Vets bill nasty though x

And Annabel - Steph and I sussed a while ago that both Linda and Laura are actually two people, twins obviously ... there is no other way they could posssibly do all they do. One day someone will spot all four of them together! x

Well that, and some very dodgy hormones this week. You will also notice that I have somehow added a very nice long blank space after my last blog .... did that just to be irritating x
